Augment Your Facial Contours

Chin and cheek enhancement are cosmetic procedures designed to augment and redefine the contours of your face. Chin enhancement is for individuals with a weak or receding chin, while cheek enhancement is recommended for individuals looking to add volume and definition to their cheeks. Both procedures involve using implants or other techniques to add volume and structure to your facial features, creating a more balanced and harmonious appearance.

How Chin Enhancement Works

Chin enhancement, also known as chin augmentation, is a cosmetic procedure designed to enhance the size and shape of the chin. We use various techniques to achieve optimal results, including chin implants. During the procedure, a customized implant is placed directly on the bone of the chin, creating a more defined and balanced facial profile. This procedure is performed to correct an undersized chin without adequate projection.

How Cheek Augmentation Works

Cheek augmentation adds volume and definition to the cheeks, creating a more youthful and contoured appearance. At Maan Plastic Surgery, we use various techniques to achieve optimal results, including fat grafting and implants. During the procedure, a customized implant is placed in the cheek area, adding volume and restoring facial contours. Alternatively, the surgeon may harvest fat cells from another part of your body and inject them into the cheeks.

Your Chin & Cheek Enhancement Session

At Maan Plastic Surgery, we understand that every patient is unique with different goals. That’s why we offer a comprehensive consultation to evaluate your candidacy for chin and cheek enhancement and design a customized treatment plan that meets your needs and goals. During your consultation, Dr. Z will review your medical history, discuss your aesthetic goals, and recommend the appropriate treatment options based on your unique needs.

For chin augmentation, Dr. Z prefers to use customized implants inserted through a small incision under the chin or inside the mouth. The procedure takes 45 minutes to an hour and is performed using local anesthesia with IV sedation. After the procedure, you can return home within a few hours, and most patients resume normal activities within a week.

For cheek augmentation, Dr. Z uses various techniques, including fat grafting. He will discuss the benefits of each option with you and recommend the appropriate treatment plan. If you opt for fat grafting, he’ll use liposuction to harvest excess fat cells from the abdomen or other areas and inject them into the targeted region using a cannula.

Your Journey to Recovery: Side Effects & Downtime

After your chin or cheek enhancement, it’s important to give your body time to heal and recover. While every patient’s experience is unique, there are some common side effects and downtime you should be aware of.

After chin augmentation, you may experience swelling, bruising, and discomfort in the treatment area. These side effects are normal and typically subside within a few days to a week. You may also need to limit your diet to soft foods for the first few days after the procedure. Most patients can return to work and normal activities within a week, but you should avoid strenuous exercise and heavy lifting for at least two weeks.
